Of course, the view from any point of the lodge is nothing short of spectacular - this is a view across the original terrace wall of the old lodge.

The original lodge was completed by the CCC in 1941.  It remained in use until it was destroyed by fire in 1971.

The original lodge quickly became a favorite for people from around the country.  Many couples spent their honeymoons at this lodge, as well as celebrating anniversaries there.

After over 30 years, there will once again be a lodge at the top of Mt. Magazine.

On Friday, April 9th, 2004, Park Superintendent David Flugrad opened the ceremony to break ground for the new lodge complex.

In the new lodge, all of the 60 rooms overlook the south bluff at the old lodge site, including a grand view of Blue Mt. Lake.
