Mt. Magazine Butterfly Festival

Activities for butterfly lovers of all ages. Guest speakers and park interpreters lead walks and talks exploring butterfly biology and gardening. Children enjoy make-and-take crafts. These programs are free to the public.

The statement that Mt. Magazine is the highest point between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains is not entirely correct.  It is the highest mountain between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains, but not the highest point.
