Blue Mountain Lake
Located 17 miles east of Booneville on Hwy 10.
It is a favorite spot for fishing, swimming, and water skiing. There are five Corps of
Engineers recreation and camping sites located around the lake.

Blue Mountain Wildlife Demonstration Area
Located 7 miles southeast of Booneville on AR Highway 217, the BMWDA is the
premier bird dog filed trial facility in the U.S. Utilized by local,
regional and national groups, the BMWDA offers excellent facilities for a
variety of uses.
Mount Magazine
Located north-east of Booneville, is Arkansas’ highest peak soaring to 2,753
feet above sea level. It is currently under development as a state park and is
popular with hikers, rock climbers, hang gliders and all who enjoy breath-taking
panoramic views.
Dry Creek
Wilderness
Located 13 miles south of Booneville in the Ouachita
National Forest, the Dry Creek Wilderness is 6,310 acres of protected
wilderness. This area provides outstanding solitude for a personal
experience with nature.
Hole In
The Ground Mountain Trail
The Hole In The Ground Mountain Trail begins at the
Jack Creek Recreational Area and winds along the Hole In The Ground
Mountain Ridgeline, offering rugged natural terrain, wildlife & geologic
formations. It also offers breathtaking views of the Petit Jean
River Valley and the Jack Creek Valley.
Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail
Consisting of two main loops, offers 34.3 miles of the most scenic
horseback riding, hiking, ATV and mountain biking opportunities in the
Ozark National Forest. The 22.4 mile Huckleberry Mountain Loop
contains a 9.5-mile loop for those seeking a shorter trail. The
Apple Loop provides an 11.9-mile continuous loop, allowing you to plan
trips from one-half to 34.3 miles.

Creek Equestrian Trail
The Sugar Creek Equestrian Trail is located 14 miles
south of Booneville in the Ouachita National Forest. The Trail is a
network of looping horse trails that wind over diverse terrain, offering
excellent opportunities for recreation. This trail system began to
be developed in 1990 by a local group of equestrian riders who were
interested in improving horse-back access to the forested areas.
Sugar
Creek Trail
Located approximately 12 miles south of Booneville,
the Sugar Creek Trail connects the Knoppers Ford and Jack Creek Recreation
Areas. This trail allows visitors to view abundant wildlife,
geologic formations and pine / hardwood forests.
